EmojiDB is a free, independently operated website at emojidb.info. We publish a searchable emoji database so anyone can find a matching emoji, kaomoji, or decorative text combo and copy it in one tap — for chats, captions, bios, and documents — without creating an account.

Who we are

EmojiDB is published by a small independent team. We are not affiliated with Unicode, Apple, Google, Samsung, Discord, Instagram, TikTok, or WhatsApp. Those names appear on this site only to describe how emoji look or get used on those platforms. We built EmojiDB because system emoji keyboards are hard to search by mood or theme. If you know you want something “soft,” “chaotic,” or “bio-friendly,” scrolling a stock keyboard is slow. A keyword collection with one-tap copy is faster.

What you can do here

• Browse curated collections such as heart emojis, kaomoji, and aesthetic symbols.
• Tap any glyph or combo to copy it to the clipboard, with on-screen confirmation.
• Stack a custom line in the homepage emoji editor, then copy the whole string at once.
• Open the full directory via All Pages when you want to scan by title instead of search.
• Switch between light and dark themes; the preference stays on your device.

How collections are put together

Each collection page groups Unicode emoji, punctuation-based kaomoji, and decorative symbol strings around a keyword people actually search for — love, tired, camera, party, and so on. Standard emoji come from the Unicode Standard. Kaomoji and aesthetic combos are text sequences built from ordinary Unicode characters (punctuation, combining marks, and symbols), not downloads or image files.

We write introductions, usage notes, and FAQs on collection pages so a visitor can tell what a set is for before copying anything. Labels are meant to be readable, not just keyword lists. Rendering still depends on the visitor’s operating system and font, which we explain on our Disclaimer.

Editorial standards

When we add or update a page, we aim for:

• Usefulness first. A page should help someone copy a relevant character, not bury the board under filler.
• Clear sourcing. Official emoji names follow Unicode. Everyday meanings (for example 😂 used sarcastically) are described as common usage, not as a new official definition.
• No signup wall. Searching, browsing, and copying do not require an account or payment.
• Honest advertising. If Google AdSense is enabled, ads are a way to keep the toolkit free. Ads are not part of an emoji itself. See the Privacy Policy for cookies and ad personalization.

What this site is not

EmojiDB is not an official Unicode encyclopedia, not a social network, and not an app store. We do not sell emoji font files. We do not ask for passwords. We do not host user-generated message boards. If something on a page looks wrong or infringes a right you hold, email us — details are on Contact Us and in our Terms of Use.

How to use the site

Keyword collections are copy-paste boards. For written walkthroughs — how copy works on a phone, how kaomoji differ from pictographs, and why a pasted face can look different on Android than on iPhone — start with the Guides. Those pages use full paragraphs on purpose: the site is launched and meant to be read, not a blank template with an ad code.

Why the site is free

The core copy-and-paste tools are free so the database stays useful on a phone in the middle of writing a caption. Operating costs (hosting, domain, and maintenance) may be supported by advertising after Google AdSense approval. Using the site never requires a purchase.
